Recycle and Think 'Green' Before You Print!

• Make sensible and smart choices when you shop and purchase eco-friendly paper, ink cartridges, and other office-supplies - and - encourage others to as well!

• Contact the store manager where you shop for office supplies and ask for promotional materials you can share with your friends, garden club or family members to promote that store’s offerings – the store manager will be glad you’re helping to advertise and might even offer you a discount.

• Work out an arrangement to post ads on neighborhood bulletin boards and in weekly shopper to take advantage of good opportunities.

• Be creative! Watch for sales and organize bulk purchases to get great discounts when planning large parties or events -- or just gather your Home Owners' Association folks together and find out who needs what then pitch your best offer to negotiate a discount with the manager of the local business with the best selection of planet-friendly items.

• Switch to eco-friendly electronic faxing and save money, not to mention trees! A variety of companies offer free outgoing faxes or have economical plans to suit your needs and help ensure low-impact living. When you do need paper, use the duplexing feature and print on both sides of the sheet.
